16 get healed at the New Jerusalem Chapel in Kumasi.

The premises of the New Jerusalem Chapel located at Sokoban Ampayoo in Kumasi in the Ashanti region was thrown into a state of merriment amidst praises to God when sixteen (16) spiritually oppressed patients were healed and baptized into the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost to go home as free citizens.

The occasion dubbed as a special one, attracted among others special dignitaries, media, musicians,parents and guardians of the healed patients who separately testified about the great works that the founder and leader of the church, Bishop Dr John Yaw Adu have been doing to save souls in the country.

The sixteen patients who got their healings were carrying along them chronic diseases like ulcer, elephantiasis, epilepsy, mental health, stroke, spiritual torture among others.

Preaching his sermon from the book of St. Luke chapter 10 verse 30-31 to set the ball rolling, Bishop Dr J Y Adu expressed his gratitude to God of whose power and authority the 16 sick patients were healed.

The clergy noted that God heals and saves souls without discrimination since He is a passionate and a loving father who keeps watch to salvage His people.

As human beings we need to be our brother’s keeper at all times and offer assistance when we discover that our brothers are in trouble.

Such attitudes he observed, are the mandatory condition a servant of God should exhibit to reflect the love which Christ has for the world.

The powerful Bishop cited the good Samaritan who rescued and save the life of the hopeless wounded man as foretold in the gospel, insisting that goodness is a source of victory and prosperity.

According to the Nation’s number “one bishop and healer” he don’t feel comfortable when he comes across wicked people who refuse to help their brothers at the time they need their support.

We need to show passion and concern for the plights of our troubled brothers and show our love without discrimination, the well respected bishop advised the congregation.

The bishop reiterated that he hardly feels happy to take meal when he sees that a church member is hungry, sick or in trouble.

Hence he has made it as his priority to support any church member who is in trouble to compliment the shining example of the good Samaritan who rescued and saved the life the wounded man as foretold in the gospel.

And this has been my biggest secret of healing and the growth of church since l entered into the noble profession of the priesthood about 50 years ago, Bishop Dr J Y Adu hinted.

After the baptism which accompanied by a firebrand prayers for the country’s peace and unity, Bishop Dr J Y Adu charged the healed to go home in peace and embrace the word of God as their light.
