The call of the Christian Council of Ghana urging President Mahama’s administration to sink Ghanaian taxpayers money to continue the construction of the National Cathedral is completely needless and unproductive, a pro-Ndc pressure Movement has disclosed.

The Movement dubbed Gallant Cadres of Ndc in a press release dated Sunday November 23rd and signed by its spokesperson Comrade Richard E.A.Sarpong, the group stated that the government of John Dramani Mahama must not heed to such call frm the Christian Council of Ghana.

The Movement said if th state have funds in its coffers it must be channelled to support the No Fees Stress or the Mahama Care policies to help Ghanaians in general.

The Gallant Cadres of NDC said they would be grateful if the Christian Council of Ghana could tell Ghanaians the last time the body made a similar financial demand or call to former president Nana Addo and the NPP in their 8 years in office.

The Gallant Cadres of Ndc argues that every Ghanaian is aware that the Cathedral Project is someone’s personal pledge to his maker.

Adding that Ghana has not made any pledge to build Cathedral for God.

The Cadres alleged that so far over $97 million have been wasted on the Cathedral project.

The Cadres wondered whether that huge sum of amount worth it and asked how much more USD dollars does the Christian Council of Ghana need to complete the project.

The Gallant Cadres of NDC believes that there are more pressing needs confronting Ghana rather than what they termed as the needless Cathedral project.

The Cadres believe that President John Dramani Mahama knowing very well about the financial loads on the the government would not spend the taxpayers money any more on the Cathedral project.

According to the Gallant Cadres of NDC they would deemed appropriate to demonstrate without any prejudice against any move when state funds are released to finance the Akuffo Addo’s personal pledge of building a Cathedral for God, the release concluded.
