Mark Obeng, the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency Polling Station Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has has passionately appealed to the newly elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party Mr. John Boadu to prioritize making the party more attractive to ensure drawing other Ghanaians to join the party to remove the ndc from power in the next elections.
Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, Chairman Obeng emphasized that the primary goal of the party’s current leadership must be to strategize and expand the NPP’s appeal.
This he believes, is the only way that party faithful and other Ghanaians can successfully vote out the John Dramani Mahama led NDC administration in the 2028 general elections and restore stability to an economy he describes as being “destroyed” under the current regime.
A Vote for Proven Leadership:
According to Mr. Obeng the decision by the delegates to elect John Boadu was rooted in his past good track records and public trust to ensure a decisive victory for the party.
Obeng expressed deep concern over the current state of the nation, describing the Ndc administration as a complete failure.
He pointed out to the stark contrast between President Mahama’s campaign promises to turn Ghana into a paradise zone and the harsh reality facing citizens today.
He highlighted the struggles of workers, noting that teachers, nurses and other civil servants are facing delays in salary payments.
Today, workers cannot be paid yet the President claims that the economy is on cause, Obeng remarked.
He further accused the NDC government of employing “clever tactics” to stifle freedom of speech and intimidate opponents through arbitrary arrests and detentions.
The Road to 2028: Bawumia and Boadu:
Looking ahead to the 2028 battlefield, Chairman Obeng noted that the NPP has strategically positioned John Boadu to provide the necessary organizational backbone for the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mark Obeng believes that the duo represents the best hope for Ghana to reclaim its economic sovereignty and democratic freedoms.
