A prominent member of the Ashanti Regional Communication Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Christian Opoku Agyeman has issued a passionate appeal to the party’s national leadership to prioritize the contributions of the grassroots to ensure a resounding victory in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to the Correspondent in an exclusive interview, Mr. Agyeman emphasized that winning credible elections in any democratic society requires a collective efforts and the inclusion of all party levels.
He noted that the wisdom and frontline experience of the grassroots are indispensable to the party’s success, reminding the leadership that one head cannot make a council.

Mr. Agyeman specifically directed his appeal to the key national figures including Mr. John Boadu and the National Secretary, Mr. Justin Frimpong Koduah urging them to recognize that the grassroots are the backbone of the party and that their advice should be integrated into the national strategy.
He expressed confidence in the leadership and described both Boadu and Koduah as matured and influential politicians with excellent track records.
He noted that their combined political skills and experience would be vital in an effective organization of the party to realize “Agenda 2028” vision.
According to the communicator, the NPP possesses a bright future and remains the best option for Ghana.
However, he warned that victory in 2028 depends heavily on internal unity and a sense of shared responsibility.
The NPP has what it takes to win, Agyeman stated, and stressed that what is required now is for every party member to play a collective role.
This in his view, unity is the fuel that can drive the Npp towards the 2028 goals.
Turning his attention to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Agyeman described the party as an “empty barrel” that thrives on promises it cannot fulfill.
He alleged that the NDC’s presence in governance has historically exposed their reliance on propaganda rather than substantive policy.
He cited various sectors where he believes that the ruling Ndc has failed to provide solutions, including power stability, education, healthcare, water and the fight against illegal mining (Galamsey).
He criticized the NDC for praising themselves despite what he called a lack of tangible achievements in these critical areas.
Strengthening Parliament:
In a final charge to party members, Mr. Agyeman advised for a more rigorous approach to selecting parliamentary candidates urging delegates and members to thoroughly scrutinize the conduct and capabilities of contestants before granting them the mandate to lead.
In his conclusion Christian Opoku Agyeman contended that to build an effective Parliament in the next administration, Npp must be careful about who they vote for since in Parliament, the majority carries the vote, and Npp needs representatives who can truly deliver for the party and the country.
