15 Takoradi policemen allegedly kidnapp man and tores waist beads of her wife.

Information reaches this website from Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western region indicates that about fifteen policemen had allegedly kidnapped one Sixtus Arthur who resides at Nkroful, suburbs of Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western region.

The incident was reportedly took place around 1.30 am on Tuesday July 12,2023, whilst the victim was sleeping with her wife, Madam Veronica Arthur.

According to Veronica Arthur who was narrating the ordeal she underwent through on the hands of the said policemen before the husband was finally kidnapped to a Takoradi based radio station, Connect FM,s morning show host on Omanbapa program,Nyiraba Pas Kwesi Sampson, she said in the process, one of the stoutly built security men held and tore her waist beats.

The wife indicated that on the fateful day at about 1.30 am whilst she and the husband had deeply asleep they were awakened by a laud knock on their door.

Adding that before they could enquire for the source the men had already broken into the room amidst threats on the husband to walk out of the room for questions.

Veronica Arthur said she identified one man on police uniform with an alleged action pump gun.

The 14 others were also in ordinary wear holding spanners, she told the host.

She stressed that in an attempt to resist arrest, one of the men held her waist and in the process tore her waist beats after which the husband was taken away.

She added that the cause of the alleged actions of the policemen are still unknown, and more suspiciously when they checked out from the nearest police stations on whether Mr Sixtus Arthur had been put in police cells, the outcome was negative.

The situation gives a clear evidence that the kidnappers might not be real policemen but fake ones who were up for mischief, a resident allegedly told our correspondent in an interview.
