Our wish to remain in power does not fall under ‘Adurumeso Concept” or politics of hatred – Deputy Nasara Coordinator.
The Nasara Deputy Coordinator for the Bibiani Anhwiaso Constituency on the New Patriotic Party’s ticket Alhaji Mohamed Ibrahim has cautioned the contestants in the Npp presidential seat to control their tongues when they mount platforms to solicit for voted from the delegates.
In an interview with this correspondent, Ibrahim registered his disappointment about the manner in which some of the contestants have been allegedly attacking their opponents because of power.
Alhaji Mohamed Ibrahim indicated that the Npp is a big political party which believes in unity and peace to run its administration and wondered on how some contestants in the upcoming presidential elections of the New Patriotic Party have been violating the party’s constitution to attack fellow contestants.
According to the Deputy Coordinator, almost all the presidential hopefuls of the Npp are in the government who are supposed to share common ideas towards national development.
But regretfully they failed to do so with a hidden agenda to contest for presidential polls in the party and lead the party through elections.
The Coordinator, asked on whether such attitudes conforms with the constitution of the New Patriotic Party.
The politics of “it is my turn” does not form part of the Npp’s constitution, stressing that if the slogan is applicable in the Npp’s constitution, then the position should be shifted to the up North, which Dr Mahamud Bawumia would have the opportunity to take the lead.
As party members we should learn how to speak the truth and seeembark on clean campaign devoid of hatred to help win victory in the 2024 general elections, the Nasara Deputy Coordinator concluded.
