Gold fields Ghana Hands Over 28,000 Dollars Tractor To The Takoradi Airforce Base.
Gold fields Ghana has officially handed over 28,000 dollars tractor to the Takoradi Airforce Base, to assist in keeping the edges or shoulders of the runway to clear overgrown bushes and other potential impediments that could hinder flight operations.

According to the relieve General Manager of Gold Fields Ghana, Mr.Elliot Twum, at Gold fields safety is their is one of the organization’s core values and if they can not mine safely they will not mine.
He said the gesture was extended to the communities they operate in as part of their commitment to serve them.
It would also ensure that all the stakeholders understand and benefit from the commitment they make to this number one value.
He said, the organization believes providing this important equipment to the Takoradi airport, and indeed the air force base, will go a long way to ensure flight safety to everyone who use the airport.
Receiving the offer at the event, the Base Commander, Air Commodore Godfred Sackey Parker showed appreciation to Gold fields Ghana for their benevolent contribution to support the safety of the air force base.
And assured that the equipment would be taken good care of and used in accordance with the mission in which it was provided.
