Let’s use communal labor as a medium to promote national development – Nana Ababio.
A traditional priest at Kwamo, a town along the Kumasi – Accra highways in the Ashanti region, Nana Ababio has stressed the need for Ghanaians to use communal labor as a means to promote national development.
In an interview with this correspondent, Nana hinted that our forefathers live longer because they took sanitation and environmental issues as their priority.
According to him, our forefathers were focused about their health and don’t depend on external forces to advise them about what they should do to help them live longer.
He attributed the high rate of deaths in the country to the lack of the environmental rules, and the citizens own adoption to change the purpose in which God created the universe.
Today he said, people temper with the environmental rules as if they’re the creator of the universe, and go scot free while no one cares to take action, though the country has a body which is responsible for sanitation and environmental policies.
Nana Ababio who claims to have registered an environmental Non Governmental Organization reiterated that he would soon come out to create an awareness, where Ghanaians will come to the realization on the important role which sanitation plays to help build a strong economy.
Nana Ababio on this note, entreated chiefs and opinion leaders to use their medium to promote communal labor, especially on the issues of sanitation and environment to help build an effective economy.
