The founder and leader of Mo Mary Fellowship in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Rev David Armstrong has stressed the need for the followers of Christ to discard pastors who don’t teach the word that leads one to salvation.
Instead, he said it is a core mandate of christians to study the lifestyles of the pastors they follow and if they found them to be genuine, they accept and fellowship with them.
Speaking to the Correspondent in an interview the clergy expressed his disappointment about the manner in which the word of God tends to be polluted in the society.
He said the Bible is the leading and most powerful medium at the global level, yet people tend to downplay its authority and use it commit crimes.
According to him, some alleged crooked citizens have used the Holy name of God to establish religious organizations that they use them to extort and amass wealth.
Such leaders of the churches, he intimated are so wicked to such an extent that they hoard billions of cedis and dollars into their bank accounts whilst they leave their congregation suffer without offering them with any relief.
They also fail to support the state in the areas of taxations and infrastructural development, Rev Armstrong pointed out.
Stressing that all what they know is financial struggle and fake prophecies that tend to create fear and panic in the country.
Making further references about the current economic crisis leading to the price hikes in the country, Rev Armstrong said some pastors are responsible for for the crisis.
He underscored that instead of using their pulpits to educate their members and for that matter the public to reduce their products, pastors are rather allegedly culpable because some of them encourage people to do worst things.
By misinterpreting portions of the Bible apparently to deceive the people to enable them (pastors) to make money from people.
Pastor David Armstrong advised christians to avoid believing whatever the so-called pastors would tell them because they pastors themselves are even guilty about what they preach from their mouth to their congregation.
Their teachings are not from God, they are clever thieves and challatans who study the trend of the country and give predictions, prophecies and counseling to amass wealth, the man of God alleged.
Pastor David Armstrong therefore urged christians to trust in God and remain steadfast in their faith against the false prophets who have nothing to offer them.
God is our light, strength, rescuer and if we worship Him with clean heart He will never forsake us, the powerful man of God pointed out.
