The Man of God said that he was doing it to close the gates of death for his congregation.
A pastor in Nigeria had to be carried unconscious to the altar of his church after fasting for 21 days to pray to overcome death.
Victor Great, the lead pastor of Zion Ark of Covenant Int’l Bible Church in Delta State, could not walk after 21 days of fasting and praying.
The man of God was seen in a video posted on the church’s Facebook page, dressed in white and being led from his car to the church’s altar by dedicated protocol officers.
Then they gently laid him down while the congregation surrounded him. He was then seen giving prophetic utterances as followers paid close attention to the messages.
On Wednesday, August 30, the priest announced in a video posted on the church’s Facebook page that he would go on 21 days of fasting and prayer to “close the doors of death.”
He said: “Where I am going you will not see me anywhere. I will go into hiding and cry to God for my people. The gate is already open where I am going.
Do you think it’s my love? It’s work. I came here to defy the gate of death and announce that there are people you will not put under my protection.”
In the video, he was heard promising to stand as a representative of his congregation in front of the gate of death and prevent any member from leaving.
