Information reaching this authoritative outfit from Kumasi indicates that one pastor Akwasi Macaiah Addai who has been imposing himself as the President of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies in Kumasi has rendered apologies to the Supreme Court of Ghana.
The apologies come to the limelight when he intentionally faked the name of the Supreme Court to organize unlawful elections apparently to declare himself as the president of Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies in last year(2023).
His Solicitors however failed to defend him in that contempt case filed against him by a powerful Kumasi based legal practitioner, Lawyer Charles Agbenu of Yaanom Chambers in Kumasi.
Readers can recalled that for sometime now,Akwasi Addai had made headlines on various newspapers, social media platforms on the same issue with regard to power struggle in church.
He was also records that the Manhyia Palace has convicted himon charges of snatching his church member’s wife.
Refusing to show good conduct, as he gone contrary to use the name of the Supreme to conduct fake elections by declaring himself as the President of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies, a situation which led the plaintiff Elder Ofori Jnr:s solicitor to file a contempt case against him.
The issue at stake was a leadership right on who should be a lead of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies following the death of the founder/leader of the church, Elder Ofori Snr in 2009.
Since 2009 the plaintiff in case Elder Ofori Jnr and his group have floored Akwasi Addai in the both Supreme and Appeal court respectively but in blatant violation of court rulings Addai went ahead to organize fake elections in his favour to the contrary of the church constitution.
For the avoidance of doubts we reproduce part of lawyer Agbenu’s part of script which led Akai Addai to render apologies to the court over his fake election.
By the court verdict, Akwasi Addai is not the President of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies based on his own apologies.
We Demand Justification For Linking Supreme Court In False Elections On Airwaves – Lawyers to pastorbMacaiah Addai.
In an obvious attempt to throw dust into the eyes of the public and contemtously bring the image of the Supreme Court of Ghana into disrepute, apparently to archive his personal agenda, a Kumasi based pastor, Macaiah Akwasi Addai who allegedly condoned and connived with a Television station in Kumasi, King Tom to cause false publication have found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The pastor Macaiah Akwasi Addai and the television station respectively have been put under pressure by a popular legal pundit in Kumasi Lawyer Charles Agbanu, who has given the two entities, one week ultimatum to jointly justify a publication at the King Tom Television station.
The said publication, according to the renowned legal practitioner, sought to have linked the Supreme Court in a false elections that was masterminded by Macaiah Akwasi Addai who masquareds himself as a legitimate president of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies, headquartered in Kumasi Adiebeba.
Macaiah Akwasi Addai is currently an Acting president of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies, following the death of the late President, Founder and leader of the church, Elder Enoch Ofori Snr, pending proper elections to appoint a substantial president to lead the church.
Both the Supreme Court of Ghana and Appeal court of the Republic of Ghana have ruled out on the case for the proper procedures to be taken before full elections could take place for peace sake.
In early this year, our own intensive investigations had it that, an attempt to reach out for proper process for peaceful elections was not reached at the Ashanti regional offices of the Electoral Commission, (EC) thereby compelling the Commission to advise both parties in the case to go back and make amendments to enable the Commission conduct free and fair elections.
This point out that the election stands pending to ensure that both parties been Enoch Ofori Jnr (plaintiff in the case) and his followers and pastor Macaiah Akwasi Addai (Acting President and defendant in the case) and his group come into compromise to enable proper elections to commence for the appointment of a substantial president for the church.
The solicitors of the plaintiffs in the case Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr, Yaanom Chambers headed by Lawyer Charles Agbanu Esq in their letters to Macaiah Akwasi Addai and King Tom TV dated November 23,2023 of which we have intercepted a copy and audio voices of. Macaiah Akwasi Addai, expressed disappointment about the claims made by Akwasi Addai at the King Tom TV studio that he is the current legitimate and full time president of the church based on the Supreme Court clearance per its verdict.
The solicitors further expressed worry about the manner King Tom TV as a media house failed to find out the truth in Macaiah Akwasi Addai claim before granted him an interview on their platform.
Considering the publication at King Tom TV studio which was orchestrated by Akwasi Addai as totally malicious and false since their clients Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his followers are not aware of any proper procedures that both parties put in place for proper elections to merit his (Addai’s) victory as president of the church, the lawyers are demanding urgently from the two entities among others.
