Philanthropist urged to enrol venerable persons onto the Insurance Scheme.
In a bid to improve the access of healthcare to vulnerable communities, Mr. Charles Akom Hayford, the Director of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for Upper Denkyira in the Central region has urged benevolent individuals, stakeholders, and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to enroll vulnerable people onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) the Director said has launched a campaign urging benevolent individuals, stakeholders, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to actively enroll vulnerable individuals into the scheme.
The aim is to ensure access to quality healthcare for all, especially those who may face financial barriers.
Speaking in an interview with a section of the media, after a philanthropist made a significant impact by registering 110 NHIS card for the people of Achiase and Ayanfuri, Mr Charles Akom Hayford said, this initiative aimed to ensure that a significant number of people would have access to essential medical services without financial constraints.
He hinted that through the enrollment process, these vulnerable individuals will receive access to essential healthcare services, including doctor consultations, hospitalization, medication, and preventive care.
He said, the scheme further emphasizes that enrollment is open to all benevolent individuals who wish to support this cause.
Interested individuals can visit the NHIS website or office to learn more about the enrollment process and how they can contribute.
He therefore encourage all benevolent individuals, stakeholders, and NGOs to play their part in enrolling vulnerable individuals onto the NHIS.

Meanwhile, a philanthropist, Evangelist Daniel Kwaku Adom said, this initiative aimed to support vulnerable people in the community to have access to essential medical services without financial constraints.
He also urged other stakeholders, individuals and business institutions to imitate the act and support the initiative.
