Respect Your Office As ‘Honorables’ For Others To Respect You – Clergy.
Founder and leader of the Cornerstone Bible Church International sited at Kumasi Ayigya in the Ashanti region, His Eminence Apostle Godbless Boateng has condemned in no uncertain terms, officials who hold the titles of “Honorables” but yet preside over shameful attitudes like creating chaos and violence to disrupt peace and stability during election times.
Speaking to a section of the media in an interview, the clergy defined Honorable as an important word used to describe a dignified, well respected and noble citizens, and as such, those who handle such titles need to comport themselves for the society to accord them the respect due to them.
The man of God regretted that Ghana in particular, those who tags themselves with the Honorable tittles abuse their ranks with impunity.
This is out of alleged greediness or political expediency hence such tittle holders notably politicians bent to use macho men to advance their political fortunes during elections.
Others he said, also engage the services of land guards to use force in their quest to acquire illegal properties.
He stressed that any Honorable person who engages himself in this negative attitudes should bow down his head in shame and denounce himself as a good citizen.
Touching on the December 7 elections, Apostle Boateng emphasized the need for the chairperson of the Electoral Commission to remain neutral to ensure peaceful, free and fair elections for the sake of peace, unity, security and national development.
The clergy noted that Ghanaians and for that matter posterity would not forgive the officials of the Electoral Commission if they allow electoral malpractices to generate into fratricidal violence in the country.
Apostle Boateng further entreated Akuffo Addo to ensure that free and fair elections are conducted before his final exit to enhance his good reputation and legacy for the good people of Ghana.
Ghana belongs to Ghanaians themselves and it is prudent we protect our security and freedom at all times, the man of God admonished.
