Include Traditional Religion And Priesthood In  School Curiculum To Enlighten The Future Generation-Nana Gyau

A fetish priest, Nana Gyau, has expressed worry over how children who choose to practice fetish priesthood during talent shows are shattered.

“It is very worrying to shatter children for choosing fetish priesthood during talent shows.

Nana noted that it is part of human life and it is acceptable in the society. He asked why do we always want to sideline talented people who are good in those fields?”.

The powerful fetish priest has therefore called on the government and other stakeholders in the education sector to as a matter of urgency add traditional religion as a compulsion part of the lessons the children learn.

According to him, it was very worrying how we intentionally reject traditional religion which is part of the main religions in Ghana.

He said, it was time we should desist from making it a laughing stock and start regarding it as part of the major life guides in the society we are building.

By adding it as part of the serious lessons and treat in schools, the traditionalists believes that the country is going to transform.

He said, it is very important that we teach children especially the KGs, nurseries, primaries about the nananomsom, (colonial stories), rivers, festivals, bragoro etc, to enable them catch up with the traditional values.

Meanwhile, others who expressed their views over what the priest has suggested is very laudable.

Some others who also spoke to  the media disclosed that, introducing traditional religion as part of our school curriculum would enable the children to live responsible lives in the future.

According to them, educating and encouraging people in practices such as puberty rites and, dressings among others would usher them into a great future, unlike modern times where we have lots of teenage pregnancies and other defiant behaviors in the system.
