The Ghanaian embassy in Turkey is working with the Turkish government to make plans to convey the body of Ghanaian international football hero Christain Atsu for burial at home.
This was stated in a letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
“Government extends to the widow and family of Christian Atsu our deepest condolences,” the statement said.
It occurs a short while after the Hatayspor player’s body was discovered under debris on February 18—nearly two weeks after the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria and claimed hundreds of lives.
Christian Atsu’s older brother, twin sister, and a representative from the Ghana Embassy were present when the body was discovered, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Many individuals are shocked by the discovery of Christian Atsu’s body on Saturday, with friends and relatives paying respect to the late actor.
