The founder and leader of the Power Chapel Worldwide, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, has refuted assertions that he has acquired wealth because of the ruling New Patriotic Party government.
Speaking on the 4th day of his Signs and Tokens Conference, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Rev. Kusi Boateng, the secretary to the Board of the National Cathedral of Ghana, said that he built his first house more than 20 years ago and no politician helped him in doing so.
He said that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo are his close friends, but his prophecies about them don’t bring him any benefit.
The pastor pointed out that neither the vice president nor the president have given him a contract since they came into office.
“I built my first house over 25 years ago, and so when someone says it is because of some government that I’m doing well, the person does not know what he is saying.
“Nana Addo is a good friend of mine; he knows, he is a very good friend of mine. I have never taken a dollar from him. He has never given me a contract. And I believe he would hear it, on this.
“Bawumia has never given me a contract. They (Akufo-Addo and Bawumia) are just casual friends, and when I say something out of direction, it is not because someone is my friend because I don’t benefit from any of them,” he said.
- The secretary to the Board of the National Cathedral added, “What do I benefit from? I benefit from the blessing of God.
