Information reaches Connectghananews.com from Tamale in the Northern Region indicates that a driver of Allan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng’s convoy on Wednesday February 22, 2023 allegedly crushed to death, a lady who was believed to have been attending to work.
With her in the incident was the deceased husband who sustained some injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Our correspondent mentioned a Mitsubishi pickup with registration number GC-9415-22 as the car which allegedly claimed the life of the innocent woman.
It was reported that the Mitsubishi car was in the fleet of cars following Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a Presidential Aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party when the vehicle hit and killed the woman on the fateful Wednesday in the Tamale metropolis.
The portal gathered that the deceased was with her husband who has also sustained injuries and currently receiving medical attention at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
It was learnt that Mr Allan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng started a tour of the Northern Region on Tuesday as part of his nationwide tour to canvass for support to lead the NPP in 2024 general elections.
According to source close to the accident scene at the Agric traffic lights area in the Tamale metropolis, the driver of the vehicle was on top speed, running into the couple who were on their motorcycle.
The source continued that the driver appeared to be late and was therefore rushing to join the other cars in the convoy which were far ahead of it.
“But unfortunately he he lost a steering control and knocked down the woman and her husband who were on the motorbike.
The traffic was on green and they were going on their way and this reckless driver ran into them” the source intimated.
Meanwhile, Alan Kyerematen paid a courtesy call on the King and Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Naa Abukari II, at the Gbewa Palace in Yendi on Tuesday.
