Rev Minister Ties Knot With Nana Mandela’s Daughter

The premises of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (S D.A) at Santanse , Kumasi in the Ashanti Region was filled to capacity on Sunday February 26 amidst joy and merriment when a daughter of a Kumasi-based renowned businessman, Nana Mandela got married to a Minister of God from the Western North Region.

The couple Pastor Abraham Philimon and Madam Faustina Dufie who are now known as Pastor/Mrs Philimon Abraham had the full backing of their parents who were present to witness the ceremony.

This followed an earlier announcement that the couple had underwent through the successful customary rites in both family and government levels respectively.

The flamboyant wedding attracted high profile personalities including religious leaders from both Ghana and abroad (precisely the United States Of America), chiefs, lawyers, gospel singers, journalists and the general public respectively.

The Rev Minister in charge of the Santanse 7th Day Adventist Church, Pastor Sarpong Addo was the officiated Minister who presided over and administered the wedding, whilst an Adventist Pastor from the United States Of America (USA) Pastor Godson Fraser was given the mandate to preach the word of God to advise the couple.

Speaking from the book of Genesis 2 verse 18, Pastor Fraser urged the couple to recognize their marriage as a sacred one since it has been ordained by God which no one can separate it.

He said marriage can be seen as a long dstance which goes with temptations but through faith and steadfastness it stand.

The American clergy spoke against bad association with friends whose ill advises could contribute to divorce, faith in the Lord for safety marriage, financial management for God’s protection on couples finances, honor and respect for one another and above all, the need for the couple to recognize each other as one flesh.

If you observe such qualities among others, then you are on the road map for happy marriage to fulfill the prophesy of God, Fraser advised the couple.

Nana Mandela known in private life as Mr Joseph Bonsu in his brief speech thanked the pastors of Seventh Day Adventist church for the honor done him and his family members over his daughter’s wedding.

He sought God’s protection, guidance and blessings for a fruitful marriage for the couple.

The officiating Minister Pastor Oppong Addo with his prayer warriors prayed and committed the couple unto the mighty hands of God for fruitful marriage.

For the record, Pastor Philimon Abraham is the Associates Pastor of the Sefwi Dwenase branch of the Western North Conference of the 7th Day Adventist Church.

Until his marriage the humble servant of God had served in many capacities in the conferences throughout the country.

Among the popular gospel bands who graced the august function include the Three Angels Singers from Accra and Shadrack & Anointed Voices led by Shadrack Owusu Amankwa.
