Reports: King Amoah.
As the election season draws near, the air is thick with political tensions and the allure of power.
In the light of this a clarion call has been made by a well known Obuasi cabbie who is a social commentator and advocate for youth empowerment, Kofi Asamoah.
He has passionately urged the youth of the country to remain vigilant and not allow themselves to be exploited by politicians who may use money as a weapon to incite violence and chaos during the upcoming elections.
Kofi Asamoah says as the electoral landscape becomes increasingly competitive, unscrupulous politicians sometimes resort to unethical tactics, including bribery and intimidation, to secure votes.
Such actions he laments can lead to not only a fractured political landscape but also grave repercussions for the safety and well-being of communities.
In an interview with the website editor King Amoah, Asamoah emphasized the critical role of the youth in shaping the future of their communities and the nation as a whole.
The youth have the power to either uplift or destabilize their surroundings, he posted
Insisting that by remaining steadfast and refusing to be swayed by financial incentives from morally bankrupt politicians, young people can safeguard their futures and that of their communities.
“Our lives are more valuable than the money these politicians may offer us,” Asamoah asserted.
“We must remember that our choices today will shape our tomorrow, and therefore if we allow ourselves to be pawned in a political game, we risk losing not only our lives but also the integrity of our democracy.
The youthful Asamoah related that violence begets violence, and it often takes years to heal the scars left in its wake.”
He called on the youth to prioritize critical thinking and discernment in their political engagements rather than succumbing to the allure of quick money or short-term gains.
He admonished young voters to focus on the long-term implications of their choices and flatly expose criminal minds who wanted to gamble the destiny of the of the country through the youth especially during the electioneering periods.
