Historic Union: Prince George and Princess Juliet celebrate their traditional wedding in Edo State, Nigeria.

On Saturday, August 17, 2023, Edo State, Nigeria, played host to a blending of cultures and a celebration of love as Prince George Amankwaah, affectionately known as God Bless George Amankwaah, married Princess Juliet in a vibrant traditional wedding ceremony.

The union marked not just a marriage between two individuals but also a significant cultural celebration bringing together families from Ghana and Nigeria.

The event was graced by family members from both the Amankwaah family in Ghana and the Ikhuinhbor family from Okpagha Uhunwonde, Nigeria.

It carried an emotional weight, as the couple had been partners in life for 28 years, during which they raised five beautiful children together.

The ceremony, held at the residence of Juliet’s father, Mr. Omorogiev Ikhuinhbor, at No.3, Irogue Street, opposite Guinness Brewery, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, was imbued with traditional rites and celebrations that echoed the deep-rooted customs of both families.

The atmosphere was electric with joy and traditional drumming, drawing a crowd eager to partake in the festivities.

Colorful attire adorned the guests, and an array of assorted drinks and foods highlighted the rich cultural tapestry of the occasion.

Notably, the wedding held significance for the families, particularly for Juliet’s family, who had expressed concerns about George’s long-term intentions with their daughter.
