Residents celebrate Kwabre East Constituency Parliamentary Candidate for organizing free health screening program for two communities.

The Parliamentary Candidate for Kwabre East Constituency in the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (Npp) in the Ashanti region, Mr Akwai Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong over the weekend organized a free health screening program aimed at benefiting about 600 residents from two communities namely Antoa and Meduma within his constituency.

Besides the exercise Mr Onyina-Acheampong also took the opportunity to renew expired Health Insurance Cards for over 150 residents within the the two communities.

Speaking to the media after the fruitful function, the parliamentary candidate Hon Akwai Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong, emphasised the importance of accessible healthcare for all, noting that many people In the rural areas often face challenges in accessing quality medical services.

He pledged to ensure that every constituent has access to the necessary medical care to lead healthy lives.

He hinted that plans are far advanced to extend the health program to six to ten other communities in the Constituency on September 23 this month to ensure addressing health issues of the people.

That was not all, by the close of the year two additional health programs would be launched to enter the New year, the parliamentary candidate told the press.

In her brief message, Midwife Precious Quainoo Boadiwaa, said the program includes the screenings for hypertension, diabetes, and other common ailments, apart from free medical supplies to the participants.

The beneficiaries of the health screenings exercise expressed their gratitude and celebrated the Parliamentary candidate for the initiative, hoping that God will bless and give him a longer life to continue such gestures.
