Statement from Hon. A.B.A. Fuseini, MP for Sagnarigu Constituency:
As a proud representative of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a staunch advocate for democracy, I issue this stern warning to the Electoral Commission (EC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP): any attempts to manipulate the outcome of the 2024 general elections will not be tolerated by the people of Ghana.
We have heard the rumors and seen the signs that there may be efforts to rig this election, but let me make this abundantly clear: no amount of tricks or underhanded tactics will stop the will of the people. Ghanaians are fully aware of their power, and they will use it to vote for change. The NDC is committed to ensuring that this election is free, fair, and transparent, and we will stand against any attempt to subvert the democratic process.
The Electoral Commission must understand that its duty is to the people of Ghana, not to any political party or individual. The integrity of our democracy depends on the EC acting with fairness and impartiality. Should the EC and the NPP attempt to rig this election, they will be held accountable by the people, who are ready and determined to protect their vote.
The NDC is confident in our message and in the overwhelming support from Ghanaians who are tired of the hardship and mismanagement under this current government. Let it be known that, no matter the tactics employed, *the NDC will win this election* through the legitimate and undeniable will of the people.
I call on all NDC members, sympathizers, and Ghanaians to remain vigilant and to ensure that their voices are heard through their votes. The future of Ghana is in your hands, and together, we will bring the change this country so desperately needs.
