Ia fervent address during the closing ceremony of the church’s annual conference titled “September to Remember,” held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, Apostle John Kwaku Appiah, the head pastor of Faith Outreach Ministry in Anloga Kumasi, strongly urged Christians to exercise discernment as the December 7 elections approach.

His message aimed to enlighten the congregation about the tactics some politicians may employ to secure power, particularly through corruption and deceit.p

Aostle Appiah emphasized the importance of caution in engaging with politicians who might resort to financial enticements and persuasive rhetoric.

“As the elections draw near, be wary of those who prioritize power over integrity,” he warned.

He encouraged church members to carefully evaluate the candidates, steering clear of those who denounce sound policies in favor of manipulative strategies designed solely to win votes.

The Apostle reinforced the need for Christians to adhere to electoral regulations, urging them to partake in the democratic process with a spirit of peace and respect.

“On election day, go to the polling stations, cast your votes, and return home peacefully,” he advised.

He dismissed the notion that financial or emotional investment in a politician guarantees solutions to personal or national issues, reiterating that governance requires more than mere rhetoric.

“While it’s crucial to exercise your right to vote, it’s equally vital to study the candidates thoroughly. Vote not just with your heart but with your mind—choose those who fear God and have a proven track record of good governance and policies that could uplift the economy,” he elaborated.

Apostle Appiah further questioned the role of Christians in fostering unity and peace within the nation, expressing concern about the participation of some Christians in unlawful demonstrations.

He highlighted the potential for violence and chaos stemming from such demonstrations, urging his congregation to remember the serious implications of civil disorder.

“Let me remind you that the guns wielded by security forces are not aimed at animals, but rather at lawless individuals,” he stated emphatically, warning against participation in violent protests or demonstrations.

In conclusion, Apostle John Kwaku Appiah’s powerful message served as a clarion call for Christians to engage responsibly in the upcoming elections.

He implored his congregation to act as beacons of peace and unity while remaining vigilant against deceitful political maneuvers that could undermine the integrity of the electoral process.

“Comport yourselves against violence in the upcoming elections,” he urged, invoking a sense of duty that transcends partisan politics.

As the nation prepares to head to the polls, his call to action resonates as a reminder of the significant role that integrity, wisdom, and faith play in shaping the future of the country.
