On November 22, 2024, at the esteemed SSNIT Conference Center in Kumasi, Ghana, Hon. Comrade Nana Yaw Ntem Afriyie was honored with the “Outstanding Politician of the Year 2024” award during the 2nd Edition of the Ghana Prominent Archivers Awards.
This accolade is a testament to his relentless dedication and significant contributions to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) both in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as within Ghana itself.
The awards ceremony gathered numerous politicians, dignitaries, and supporters, all recognizing the invaluable work of various individuals in the political landscape. Hon. Ntem Afriyie’s recognition is particularly noteworthy as it reflects his tireless efforts to sustain democracy while actively serving his political party and the nation as a whole.
Having served as the Deputy Organizer for the NDC in the UK and Ireland, Nana Yaw Ntem Afriyie has played a pivotal role in promoting the party’s image across multiple platforms, including airwaves, print media, and social media.
His outreach efforts have not only raised awareness of the NDC’s initiatives and policies but have also reinforced the party’s presence among Ghanaians abroad. Back in Ghana, particularly in Kumasi where he currently resides, his influence extends beyond party politics. His support has included financial assistance as well as providing tools like mobile phones, which significantly bolster communication efforts for the party.
Receiving the prestigious award, Hon.
