In a cautionary message to the government, political youth activist Moses Tettey Dometey, also known as Bola Ray Jnr, has advised against appointing all National Democratic Congress (NDC) national communication officers into key government positions. Dometey emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance to prevent communication deficiencies within the party in the future.
It has been observed that both the national communication officer, Lawyer Sammy Gyemfi, and deputy communication officer, Comrade Basintale, have been appointed to significant roles within the government. While their expertise and dedication are commendable, Dometey suggests that some team members should be appointed to board positions instead. This would allow them the necessary time to research and defend the party effectively in the media.
Dometey’s proposal is to designate certain national, regional, and constituency communication team members as board members, providing them with the opportunity to continue their party-related responsibilities. By distributing roles in this manner, the party can ensure a more comprehensive and organized communication strategy moving forward.
As the NDC seeks to maintain a strong presence in the media and effectively convey its message to the public, a balanced approach to appointing communication team members is essential for long-term success.
