Help Our Communities To Have Access To Portable Drinking Water-Assemblyman To Mp.
The Assemblyman for Adobewura electoral area, a farming communities in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality in the Western Northern Region, Hon. Bismark Offin has passionately appealed to the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Alfred Obeng Boateng and other benevolent individuals to come to the aid of the electoral area to have access to portable drinking water.
Speaking to a section of the media in an interview, Hon Offin disclosed that the activities of illegal miners have affected the quality of the water they drink.
He said the water challenges that have been confronting the electoral area have been forwarded to the relevant quarters for attention but to no avail.
The assemblyman hinted that the electoral area has a population of over one thousand who allegedly share water with animals.
He particularly mentioned a community like Alata which has been severely affected by the problem, though it is this same community which voted massively to ensure the victory of the Npp in the region.
Currently, asides the water challenges, erosion has developed a deep hole at the center of the town where vehicles ply, a situation he said, is making vehicular movement a difficult one.
The scene also poses as a death trap for both residents and vehicles and it needs immediate attention, he pointed out.
Hon Offin observed that the water problems pose a threat to the people because the sort of water they use is contaminated with carcass and can likely bring out cholera outbreak and other unsanitary diseases to the area.
It is based on this reasons and many more, hence I am passionately appealing to the Mp for the area and other benevolent organizations to come to my aid and solve the issue.
