Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei warns: Your past injustices are your future punishment

In a powerful sermon delivered on Sunday, July 6th, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei, Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Center (widely known as Philadelphia Center), offered a profound perspective on life’s challenges.

He asserted that many people’s predicaments are not the work of external forces like witchcraft or family curses but rather a direct consequence of their own unrighteous and unjust actions in the past.

Preaching on the themes of righteousness, justice, and the rewards after committing sins Prophet Adom Kyei observed that individuals often misattribute their struggles failing to recognize the deeper spiritual principle at play.

He likened life to a ball which has been hit on a wall saying if you hit a ball on the wall it comes back to you so be the definition of life.

According to the respected clergy, God never punishes His people by mistake instead he emphasized, punishment comes unto man out of his own deeds.

This golden sermon sought to dispel the common misconception that misfortune is random or divinely imposed without cause highlighting personal responsibilities as the root cause of many afflictions.

Prophet Adom Kyei elaborated with vivid examples of how past transgressions ripen into future tribulations:

The Corrupt Employer: He described an individual blessed with wealth who employs workers yet abuses his position by maltreating staff, snatching people’s spouses, and evading taxes.

Unbeknownst to him. that such actions sow seeds for future punishment.

The Deceitful Worker: Another scenario painted was that of a worker who steals from his master’s coffers or stock and using the ill-gotten gains to establish his own business expecting to escape scot-free and enjoy the stolen funds, oblivious to the negative impact awaiting him.

The Seductress: He spoke of a handsome boy, young and beautiful lady who in their youth plotted to snatch married women’s husbands and married husband’s wives forgetting about the dire consequences ahead for his or her own future.

The Abusive Office Holder: The Prophet also pointed to high-ranking officials who leverage their positions to embezzle government funds or demand sexual favors for employment unaware that their crimes will eventually rebound upon them.

Prophet Adom Kyei warned that a time has inevitably come where such crimes committed against one another return to haunt the perpetrator.

He challenged his congregation with poignant questions designed to foster self-reflection:

Someone would have sexual affairs or snatch your wife or husband in the future; will you be offended?

You laughed at the sick and today you are also sick; what is your reaction?

Your workers are robbing you to the point of collapsing your business, have you any cause to take action or have you forgotten your past crimes?

Government officials are running after you to pay tax, is it an evil attempt and do you remember your tax evasion in the past?

Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei then took the opportunity to ask the congregation whether the sermon could be linked to the temptations of God or solely to man’s own dishonesty and unjust approaches towards others implicitly guiding them towards the latter conclusion.

For this reason Prophet Adom Kyei earnestly cautioned Ghanaians to live by the dictates of righteousness and justice for a long and prosperous life.

He delivered a solemn warning that since life is short and full of trials so too will be the judgment day where everyone would render their stewardship and account for their deeds before God.6t
