Acting Prez Of The Association Of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies Exposed In An Attempt To  Organize  Fake Elections as cited for violating lawful court directives.

Reports: King Amoah, Kumasi.

Information reaches connectghananews.com from Ashanti region  indicates that the Acting President of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies, Pastor  Akwasi Addai Macaiah is putting himself into trouble, following his alleged fraudulent attempt  to organize a fake elections.

This is apparently to enable him elect himself as a substantial president of the church, contrary to the Supreme  and Appeal Courts of Ghana’s ruling on a rift between two parties of the church over who qualifies to become the president of the church.

The leadership crisis of the church, the paper learnt, took place since 2009 after the death of the original founder and leader of the church, Elder  Enoch Ofori Snr.

Our sources indicates that after several years of legal battle on the leadership crisis of the church, the Supreme and Appeal Courts of Ghana respectively have finally settled the case pending elections to appoint new president to take over the administration.

However it was gathered that  confusion erupted at the Ashanti regional branch of the Electoral Commission’s office in August  this year, when one of the groups allegedly tried to violate the electoral process

A situation that compelled the Commission to advise both parties to go back and settle their differences and come back later to enable the outfit conduct and  supervise proper elections.

And so as to say, the election is still pending because there is no compromise between the two parties been Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his group plaintiffs in the case, and pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah Acting president of the church and his group, defendants.

It was gathered that as the election is still pending, the Acting President pastor Akwasi Addai has reportedly managed to appoint someone to come over and help conduct and supervise the elections which according to the documents in our possession, the said elections would be taken place at the church headquarters at Kumasi Adeabeba on Sunday  October 10, 2023 at 10am.

Our investigations also have it that pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah has single handedly engaged a journalist by name Gabriel K Fosu a reporter of a Kumasi based King Tom TV station to supervise the elections.

When the journalist working with the King Tom Tv station in Kumasi was reached for his reaction, he flatly denied that no one has tasked him to be an election supervisor, yet he confirmed that pastor Akwasi Addai has asked him to come over and act as a Master of ceremony (MC) for the occasion,

He also denied having acknowledged receipt of a letter to preside and supervise the said elections on Sunday October 10 2023 at anywhere.

Meanwhile, our investigators have also indicated that in response to pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah’s letter of notice about the elections dated 27th September 2023 with reference number ASP/LD/23/012, and signed by the Acting General Secretary of the church, Elder Akwasi Acheampong, the other group of the church been plaintiffs in the case led by Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr in their letter dated 29th September 2023, have treated the invitation with contempt, describing it as an attempt to use fraudulent tactics to conduct elections in his (pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah’s) favor.

Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr’s reaction to the defendants in the case, pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah and his group, referred (pastor Akwasi Addai) to take note of his alleged actions and read  the Supreme and Appeal Courts rulings well and comply with their directives and come clean, before they would go ahead with the elections.

Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr also stated that he don’t know where he (pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah) appointed that journalist Gabriel K Fosu from to convince him and his group to accept what he described it as unconstitutional elections contrary to the court rulings and the constitution of the church.

Furthermore, he said he ( Enoch Ofori Jnr) and his group hardly knows the

criteria they would be used to conduct the elections, and accordingly he and his group who constitute to the majority of the church cannot honor any invitation for elections until the right thing is done.

Meanwhile, reliable source close to Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr’s Solicitors in Kumasi, Charlers Agbenu Esq at Yaanom Chambers at Kumasi Adum revealed that possible injunction would be placed on the elections if pastor Akwasi Addai Macaiah tries to go ahead with any elections.
