Akropong Zongo Chief begs gov’t to complete Arabic and English School.

The Zongo Chief at Akropong in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency of Ashanti Region,Adamu Alhassan has made a passionate appeal to the gov’t, philanthropists and other stakeholders as a matter of urgency to help complete the abondoned Islamic English and Arabic School at Akropong to boost Islamic education at the Zongo community in the area.

According to the Chief, education is the key of which every individual should have,therefore it will be prudent gov’t should listen to their plea to complete the abondoned projects for them.

The chief made that call when journalists paid visit to the school to acquaint themselves about the activities going on the facilii.

The Zongo Chief,Adamu Alhassan said,the school was started by the previous government,NDC in an about 10 years ago from creche to the primary level but due to change of gov’t,the project has been stalled

He added that in order to enhance education at the Zongo,he together with his members solicited for support to build JHS.1 and its now left with the JHS 2&3 to make the school complete to enhance progress at the school.

The chief believes that the completion will benefit Muslims and Christians to enhance education at the area.

The headmaster of Akropong Islamic English and Arabic School,Mr.Osman Iddrisu on his part stated that parents have to vacate their wards from the school to a different school by taking the risk to cross major highway which sometimes pose fear and panic for parents and students therefore,if the school is furnished,it will desist parents from vacating their wards from the school which won’t yield progress for the school.

The Akropong Islamic English and Arabic School PTA chairman together with some parents who gathered there said they are worried for the issue and called on the government to listen to their plight.
