The Regional Police Command in the Volta Region intercepted a Ford Transit Bus loaded with ₵1,021,700 in one cedi notes and coins concealed in fertilizer bags. The vehicle was en route from Ho to Kumasi/Ashanti Region.
The suspect, Edward Ansah, claimed he was transporting the money on behalf of a man in Kumasi. He is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
