Breaking News Gallant Cadres of Ndc Denounces vicious constitutional blundering attempt to impose Mahama for the 3rd Term in his presidential bid

Read below the unedited press release our outfit has laid hands on copy.

NDC’s Grassroots Won’t Support The 3rd Term Bid of President John Dramani Mahama.

The attention of the Gallant Cadres of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been drawn to recent insinuations and baseless allegations circulating in sections of the media and public discourse, suggesting that the proposed 1992 Constitutional Review Exercise seeks to make an amendment introducing a six-year single term presidency could pave the way for a third-term presidency for H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

As committed foot – soldiers and defenders of the NDC’s values of democracy, accountability, and social justice, the Gallant Cadres of NDC wish to state categorically and without ambiguity that we reject this notion outright.

The Gallant Cadres of the NDC see this claim as mischievous, ill-motivated, and designed only to sow disunity within our great party.

The Gallant Cadres of NDC wish to make our position clear:

We reject the proposed amendment that hints at a Mahama third term under any guise.

The NDC cannot afford to walk down a path that will generate internal confusion and mistrust among members.

The strength of our party has always been built on respect for democratic norms, leadership transitions, and unity of purpose.

Any attempt to reinterpret constitutional changes for individual benefit — whether real or perceived — risks plunging our party into unnecessary crisis.

We will not allow the NPP to exploit our internal weaknesses.

The NPP thrives when the NDC is divided. They will seize onany sign of disunity to misinform the public and weaken our electoral base.

As Gallant Cadres, we are determined not to hand them such an advantage.

The NDC must stay focused on rebuilding, reorganizing, and presenting a strong, united front for victory in 2028.

President Mahama has served his nation and party with distinction — he should finish his term and take his rightful place as a statesman.

H.E. John Dramani Mahama remains a respected figure, not only in Ghana but across Africa and at the global scene in general.

When he completes his upcoming term, it is only fitting that he transitions into a fatherly role within the party — a mentor and guide to the next generation of NDC leaders.

This will cement his legacy and preserve the dignity of his long and selfless service.

The Gallant Cadres of the NDC are ready to back a new leader for the 2028 elections. The future of our great party lies in grooming and empowering new leaders who can carry the torch forward. Ghana is full of capable, visionary, and disciplined NDC men and women who have learned from our past experiences and are ready to serve.

Supporting a new candidate will demonstrate our party’s commitment to renewal, inclusiveness, and the continuous evolution of leadership that keeps the NDC dynamic and relevant.

Why we believe in a new leader:
To inspire renewed public confidence in the NDC as a party of change and innovation.
To maintain unity by allowing a peaceful and dignified transition of leadership.
To give younger members hope that the NDC truly believes in growth, mentorship, and generational renewal.

To ensure continuity of Mahama’s developmental vision through a fresh pair of hands who will be guided by his wisdom and experience.

In conclusion, the Gallant Cadres of the NDC reiterate our unwavering support for the principles of democracy and leadership accountability.

We stand firmly behind President Mahama as he completes his mandate, but we equally emphasize that the future of the NDC belongs to the next generation of committed, patriotic, and visionary leaders.

Long live the NDC!
Long live President John Dramani Mahama!

Long live the Gallant Cadres of the NDC!
