The District Chief Executive for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District, Hon. Nana Kwaku Abban, in collaboration with Mr. Lawrence Kwabina Agyinsam, the NPP parliamentary candidate have broken ground for the construction of a new kindergarten block in the Ayedwe communit.
The project is aimed at providing access to early childhood education, and it marks the beginning of a new public school in the area.
Currently, children from Ayedwe and surrounding villages are forced to walk 2-3 kilometers to access basic education at Mfuom township, a journey that poses risks to the safety of the children.
The new construction will include a 2-unit kindergarten block with ancillary facilities to enhance teaching and learning.
Addressing the community on behalf of Mr Lawrence Kobina Agyinsam , Mr Christopher Ampofo emphasized that their parliamentary candidate is committed to improving educational standards in the constituency as outlined in his manifesto.
He also pledged continued support for the Ayedwe community.
On her part, Mrs. Patricia Kruche, Head of Supervision and Monitoring at the District Assembly expressed her gratitude, noting that the project, initiated by Mr. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam through the District Assembly, will greatly benefit the children who currently struggle to access basic education.
