Miegyina a community near Nzulenzo in Ghana’s Western Region is set with anticipation as its Chief Priest Nana Blay Meizah (popularly known as Okomfo Anokye II) prepares to unveil a spiritual artifact: the Okomfo Anokye II sword.
The grand launching of the sword which is slated for November 21st at Miegyina is not merely a ceremonial event but also a declaration of faith in Ghana’s ancestral heritage and the enduring power of its spiritual realm.
In an exclusive interview with Nana Blay Meizah he said the alleged powerful sword serves as a tangible proof and a potent reminder of the ancestral beliefs and cultural values that remain alive.
It also possess the inherent capacity to protect and sustain human life, the traditional priest hinted.
Drawing a direct parallel to the legendary Okomfo Anokye whose mystical powers are credited with the embedding of the unmovable sword in Kumasi Nana Blay Meizah believes that the ancient energies are far from diminished saying that they still exist.
However the Chief Priest did not shy away from addressing contemporary challenges.
He lamented that the prevailing indiscipline, the pervasive influence of modern concepts and widespread societal lawlessness and other immoral activities tend to have scared the spiritual forces to keep silent whilst society continue to suffer.
.Nana Blay Meizah feels that as a famous traditional priest he is dutybound to create public awareness to reverse the trend for the benefit of Ghanaians.
He is confident that by reaffirming the spiritual connections the community and nation can overcome the current adversities.
The launch is expected to be a high profile gathering that would attract diverse array of prominent personalities.
