Communication Director of Ash. Npp Paul Kwabena Yandoh Expresses Disappointment Amidst Thanks To Kevin Taylor Over Unwarranted Attack

In a turn of events that has left many puzzled, the Ashanti Regional Director of Communication for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Paul Kwabena Yandoh has expressed a surprising thank you to a Ghanaian journalist Kevin Taylor following what Yandoh describes as an unprovoked and unwarranted verbal assault.

This unconventional reaction coming from an elderly statesman in the political communication sphere speaks volumes according to observers.

The incident centers on Kevin Taylor, a Ghanaian journalist based in the United States of America who reportedly launched a scathing attack on Mr. Yandoh.

What makes the situation particularly perplexing is Yandoh’s assertion that he has never in any capacity met or interacted with Kevin Taylor – either on political or commercial terms.

I was however amazed to hear from Kevin Taylor castigating me, Mr. Yandoh stated in a brief interview.

Instead of expressing anger or contemplating legal action, Yandoh chose a path of spiritual resilience.

I leave my case to God who is the judge because this is known to be a person who insults influential people including judges in the society and go unpunished.

Yandoh further questioned the sincerity and relevance of a subsequent Facebook apology reportedly issued by Kevin Taylor.

From his Facebook apologies may I ask whether Kevin Taylor knows me, whether I accept his apology or not, he should live in peace,Yandoh concluded, clearly indicating a dismissal of the public apology and a call for amicable distance.

Expressing his further disquiteness over what observers described it as a madness and irresponsible attack that needs public condemnation, the Communicator thanked Kevin Taylor fo that rubbish attack.

His response suggests a profound sense of self-respect and a refusal to dignify an attack he considers baseless.

The incident has quickly attracted widespread condemnation from Ghanaians, who have voiced their disapproval of Kevin Taylor’s action.

Many have called for Taylor to respect the elderly at all times, echoing the adage that the evil that men do lives after them.

An Accra-based businessman Richard Ofosu reacting to the news, expressed disbelief:

How can you just insult a person you don’t know? He further advised Kevin Taylor to personally contact the NPP and specifically Paul Yandoh for a more direct and sincere apology rather than relying on a Facebook post, to help set the records straight.

This highly unusual exchange highlights growing concerns over the tone of public discourse and ethical conduct in journalism particularly when influential figures are targeted without apparent justification.

Mr. Yandoh’s thank you for an insult, while seemingly paradoxical, may be interpreted as a powerful statement against unwarranted aggression by choosing peace and faith over confrontation in the face of perceived injustice.
