Don’t give our mineral and natural resources to aliens, but rather the locals and see their performances – Mansa Musah from US writes.

We have to start building local economic & finance capacity. The best way forward_

Now I want to say that if there’s any earthly wealth left in our lands and rivers, our government should sign these contract agreements off to local Ghanaian companies capable enough to do the job. If there’s is the need to sign contact agreements with foreign investors, we must first consider West Africans, then Greater Africans, then Europeans, and the rest in that order. In the contract, we can agree for them to have their operating fiscal assets in European or American banks. Their main savings or profits should be in Ghanaian banks or in other African owned banks. Let’s do this to see how our people too can screw us up.*

_We must do everything to ensure that a bigger share of our wealth, the profits remain with us in our own local Banks_

*Ghana leaders, I say to you, it’s about time to have some backbone and hot-wired brains, hard, sophisticated brains to take care of and to deal with those smart-arse foreign investors from other continents. Note that no one from faraway continent has come to do us a favour. Don’t expect free lunch anywhere. And, also, after five years, I don’t want to see any Ghanaian politician having to travel outside the country in search of health or medical needs, except for the acute specific, non-available treatment. In five year’s time, all medical and health needs should be available and good enough for Ghanaians, rich or poor. Leaders, this is not a polite request. This is an order, non-negotiable.*

_If I did understand Mahama’s IMF renegotiation, then it is that the ORAL will bring us ample returns that in a year’s time, Ghana wouldn’t need IMF controls, support, and management._

Thank you, from mansa musa, volunteer adviser from afar.
