Former Minister of Education in the Akufo Addo administration Hon. Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, has declared that tackling poverty will be his paramount priority should he secure the presidency in 2028.
Addressing New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates in Sunyani over the weekend, Dr. Adutwum called on Ghanaians to renew their hope in him since he possesses the keys to set the country free from economic challenges if is endorsed to lead the party and subsequently win the general elections in 2028.
The humble and respected legislator painted a stark picture of a nation in crisis by emphasizing the urgent need for a leader endowed with focus, integrity, and a strong policy oriented approach to steer Ghana out of its current economic predicaments.
Dr. Adutwum confidently positioned himself as the ideal candidate to carry the storm.
Outlining some of his transformative policies that aimed at reviving both the NPP and the nation, he said he is prepared to bring policies that would favor all.
Central to his vision the former Minister disclosed that he would be dedicated and focused on poverty alleviation when power is transferred to him in 2028.
Dr.Adutwum pledged to significantly raise incentives for teachers and cocoa farmers to encourage them perform up to satisfaction and contribute effectively to national development.

Furthering his commitment to good governance, Hon. Adutwum vowed to ensure transparency and equal rights within party functions specifically addressing concerns about discrimination.
He acknowledged that many dedicated party members work tirelessly to bring the party to power but are often denied the fruits of their labour by certain party leaders after gaining power.
To rectify this, he proposed to establish an electronic record keeping system for party employees who would log requests from members for support to ensure that all receive due attention and access.
In a move to enhance social welfare Dr. Adutwum also revealed plans to introduce a free health insurance policy for party members to supplement the existing National Health Insurance policy.
This he explained would guarantee free access to healthcare delivery for members when the need arises.
Concluding his address Hon Dr Adutwum passionately entreated the delegates to place their confidence in him and vote massively when the time comes.
He reiterated his firm belief that he hold the keys to salvage the country from its numerous leconomic challenges when power is transferred to him in 2028.
