Early life of Ewurabena Aubynn before engaging in politics

Ewurabena Aubynn, a rising figure in Ghanaian politics, has long been recognized for her commitment to education and community development—even before formally stepping into the political arena. Her journey into public service is deeply rooted in the values instilled in her from an early age.

Born into a family that prioritized education and service, Ewurabena was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Lomotey, founders of RECT Academy. Growing up in an environment that valued academic excellence and social responsibility, she developed a deep appreciation for learning and the importance of uplifting others. These early experiences shaped her lifelong passion for helping the underprivileged and empowering her community.

Before entering politics, Ewurabena Aubynn was actively involved in philanthropic work. In 2023, she launched the Awula Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Kwashieman in the Ablekuma North Constituency. The foundation focuses on supporting vulnerable children, particularly orphans and those raised by single parents. Through this initiative, Ewurabena has provided scholarships covering primary to tertiary education, distributed essential school supplies, and supported women entrepreneurs with business capital and staple goods.

Her dedication to community health also came to light in 2024 when she organized a comprehensive health screening exercise for over 700 residents in Ablekuma North. The event offered free screenings for hypertension, diabetes, and breast cancer, as well as eye examinations, free medication, and eyeglasses.

Ewurabena Aubynn’s early life and pre-political initiatives reveal a woman driven by compassion, education, and a desire to make a lasting impact. These foundations not only prepared her for public office but also earned her respect as a leader who truly understands and serves the needs of her people. Her transition into politics was a natural progression of a life dedicated to community service.
