By King Amoah, Our Editor -In-Chief.

In a remarkable turn of events, eleven individuals who reportedly abandoned conventional medical treatment in search of spiritual healing celebrated a miraculous recovery at a popular church camp in Kumasi on Sunday, April 6th , 2025.

The patients, suffering from a range of ailments, attributed their newfound health to divine intervention, sharing emotional testimonies with a large congregation.

The reported illnesses included conditions like mental illness, drug abuse, swollen legs, painful protruding stomachs, persistent headaches and stomach pains, typhoid fever, and various spiritual afflictions.

The healing service was held at the New Jerusalem Chapel located in Sokoban-Ampayoo, Kumasi, and led by its founder and leader, Bishop Dr.John Yaw Adu.

Addressing the attendees, Bishop Adu expressed gratitude to God for the power that facilitated the patients’ recovery.

He cautioned against relying solely on medical professionals, particularly in cases with potential spiritual roots. “Many people, when falling sick, rely only on medical doctors, even at a critical point, forgetting that it is not all sickness that can be treated by doctors,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the spiritual dimension of health.

Bishop Adu urged the congregation to be mindful of the mysteries and spiritual challenges inherent in the world, emphasizing the need for unwavering faith in God.

He alluded to hidden secrets and miracles in the universe, adding, “Satan has many ways to trouble the sons and daughters of God, especially by extending spiritual challenges, either sickness or rendering people financially handicapped; hence the need for one to seek spiritual protection from the true and ordained pastors to solve their problems.”

Drawing parallels to the miracles performed by Jesus Christ, including the Transfiguration on the Mount where He appeared with Moses, Elijah, and Peter, Bishop Adu underscored the power of faith and divine intervention.

He shared his extensive experience in the ministry, stating that in his 48 years of service, he has witnessed and facilitated numerous healings through spiritual means.

Following their testimonies, Bishop Adu bestowed a divine blessing upon the eleven individuals, advising them to embrace the word of God, practice kindness, and live as free individuals dedicated to their faith.

Bishop Adu, known for his expertise in spiritual matters, has garnered a significant reputation over the years. The New Jerusalem Chapel is currently providing spiritual healing for renowned Ghanaian gospel singer, Yaw Sarpong, at their Sokoban-Ampayoo camp.

This latest event has further solidified Bishop Adu’s standing as a figure of faith and healing within the community.
