Exclusive Reports: Comic Actor Nkansah ‘Lilwin’ Expresses Interest To Contest In The Parliamentary Race.
An exclusive interview this website had indicated that the Kumawood Actor Kwadwo Nkansah is eyeing the Afigya Kwabre South seat to contest as a Member of Parliament in the 2024 general elections.
The Kumawood actor, known in the showbiz industry as Lilwin, says his decision was as a result of public influence.
The comic actor whose prowess in role-playing an old man says he didn’t have any intentions of running for the office but for the encouragement from top personalities who have approached him to contest.
He explained further that the community leadership has assessed his huge fan base and come to the conclusion that contesting for the seat could be a walk in the park.
“Last year, around October, I found myself in a situation where a number of elders approached me.
According to them, they had already convened to discuss the possibility of me becoming their MP, but as an independent candidate.
They assured me of their commitment to ensure my victory in the election, Nkansah hinted.
“More recently, their concern was intensified due to my latest movie, ‘Mr. President.’ They came for a copy of the movie and after watching it, they came and informed me that no matter what they have spoken with my mother, my uncle Wofa Atta and a lot of my family members that, I have to become an MP.
The announcement comes few days after former President John Dramani Mahama had advised him not to venture into politics.
