Ghana’s renowned pollsters and lead researcher of the Global Info Analytics group, Mr. Musah Dankwa, has unequivocally affirmed the catastrophic organizational failure that transpired during the 2025 Hajj, which was ostensibly facilitated by the NDC government.
Mr. Dankwa, a particip ant in the pilgrimage, shared a concerning message on his Facebook wall regarding the organization of the Hajj by the NDC government. He stated, “ Ghana Haj Taskforce, totally disorganized and shambolic in Mina.SMH” This statement follows numerous complaints from pilgrims regarding the inhumane conditions they have encountered under government control.
Despite the government’s persistent assertion of a successful pilgrimage, numerous individuals failed to reach the holy city of Mecca, despite fully paying for the trip.
This statement by the pollsters exposes the government’s unapologetic attitude and posture, which was solely motivated by the political capital it could gain from this so-called “successful Hajj organization.”
The former NPP administration, under the capable leadership of a Hajj Board and task force, orchestrated the most successful and dignified Hajj pilgrimages in our nation’s history.
They were devout and dedicated to the journey. They held the pilgrims in high regard and, therefore, consistently organized a fulfilling pilgrimage.
In contrast, the National Democratic Congress, lacking experience and disregarding the Pilgrims’ contributions, attempted to politicize the journey, resulting in this shameful disgrace they have brought upon the nation.
Additionally, they lacked a profound sense of fear of God, which is a fundamental prerequisite for the establishment and success of a hajj organization.
When a government that lacks competence and has failed to deliver effectively intervenes in any matter, the consequences are severe and far-reaching.
