Dr. Amoakohene described the murders of Chief Alhaji Malik Azembae and the other deceased as worrying and emphasized that the new directives are necessary to restore peace and order.

In a related development the inter-tribe football match scheduled to begin in Kumasi has also been suspended indefinitely to reflect the heightened security posture.

While investigations into the barbaric murders unfold security has been significantly intensified particularly within Asawasi and other key communities in the region.

Patrol teams are now operating 24 hours a day to assure residents and deter further criminal activities.

REGSEC acknowledged that the directives might cause inconvenience to certain people but pleaded for understanding and cooperation from the public stressing that the primary goal is to re-establish safety and order in Kumasi.

The council concluded with a strong call for public assistance urging citizens to volunteer information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits responsible for the heinous crimes.
