The Member of Parliament for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency Hon. Lawrence Agyinsam, has outlined a number of infrastructural and social intervention projects undertaken within his first year in office as an opposition legislator.
Addressing journalists on behalf of the MP, Npp Chairman Mr Abu Farouk stated that the MP’s focus has been on the improvement of education, healthcare and basic community facilities across the constituency.
Chairman Farouk indicated that the key projects that Hon Agyinsam has executed since one year of his tenure as an opposition lawmaker includes
the construction of an 8-unit toilet and 4-bathroom facility at Jukwahe and renovation of the old maternity block at Jukwa to improve healthcare delivery.

In the education sector, Hon. Agyinsam supported Mbem D/A Basic School with GHS 20,000 and 10 packs of roofing sheets to aid renovation works
The Mp also donated GHS 50,000 towards the rehabilitation of the Abrafo Catholic Basic School. whilst Gyankoboo D/A School renovation works were completed.
As part of his agendas to improve transportation challenges in his Constituency the MP facilitated the graving of Mbem feeder road linking to the community centre to enhance movement of residents during raining season.
On healthcare delivery,
the constituency has seen the 70% completion of the Bukuruso CHPS Compound
Apart from 85% Nsutem CHPS Compound project, a modern Astro Turf facility is being developed at Twifo Hemang to promote sports and youth development.
On social intervention programs Chairman Farouk hinted journalists that Hon.Lawrence Agyinsam gave Best Teachers Awards alongside the rewarding hardworking teachers in the constituency.
My First Day at School Initiative witnessed number of exercise books, pencils and refreshments that the Mp offered to KG and Primary 1 pupils to encourage school enrolment.
Besides the KG and primary school gestures the under mentioned lists also added to the Mp’ credit since one year tenure: Mathematical Sets Distribution – Supporting BECE candidates with maths sets for their exams.
Tertiary Student Support – GHS 1,000 each for 500 tertiary students to ease academic expenses.
SHS Form One Support – Distribution of mattresses and trunks to newly admitted SHS students.
On power challenges street lighting support – Provision of 30 street bulbs to improve community lighting were further provided by the Mp.
Widows Support Programme – Assistance to 900 widows across Twifo Hemang, Wawase and Jukwa.
Chairman Abu Farouk noted that these initiatives form part of Hon Lawrence Agyinsam’s commitment to improving living conditions and supporting community with more development across the Constituency.
Mr. Ezekiel Martey Klotey, Headmaster of Gyankoboo B/A School, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hon. MP for the renovation of the school describing the project as a major boost to teaching and learning.
Madam Felicity Botchwey, Senior Midwifery Officer at Nsutam on her part, stated that the facility includes a maternity ward, a delivery room, and a staff bungalow.
