Hon. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam recognised as a hardworking Member of Parliament for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency has once again demonstrated his strong commitment to education and youth empowerment.
The MP has presented 116 trunks, chop boxes, and mattresses to a number of brilliant Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates within the district.
The colourful presentation ceremony held at Twifo Hemang, brought together parents, teachers, traditional rulers, assembly members, and community stakeholders
All of such distinguished personalities commended the MP for his continuous and practical dedication to improve the educational standards in the constituency.
He further assured parents and teachers that his office will continue to partner with the educational institutions to provide learning materials, scholarships, and mentorship programs that could nurture academic excellence.
To show more commitment he also extended support for 500 tertiary students with Ghc1000 each.
That was not all, additional donation of Ghc 20,000 was given to the Twifo Traditional Council.
Another Ghc 20,000 was also dished out into the coffers of the Islamic Education to
support the growth of the sector.
The Christian Council was not left out in the gestures as the affable MP stuffed their coff with a whooping donation of Ghc 20,000.
The MP further donated Ghc 20,000 to the Denkyira Traditional Council and pledged to support 10 brilliant but needy children in the district
The District Education Director, Miss Lucy Jecinta Afia Nkansah, who graced the event expressed her profound gratitude to the MP for his relentless efforts in promoting quality education inthearea.
She noted that such support reduces the financial pressure on parents and motivates students to aim higher.
Miss Nkansah however took
the opportunity to caution the students to take their studies seriously as they progress to the next level.
She also expressed concern about the rising cases of teenage pregnancy in the district and urged the students especially the females to remain focused on their education and avoid distractions.
The beneficiaries, who were visibly excited expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Member of Parliament for his timely intervention and continuous support.
Many of the students shared that the donation had lifted a huge burden off their parents as they prepared to enroll in various Senior High Schools across the country.
