Ignore those treasonable elements who are plotting for the removal of the IGP – IMANI-Ghana.
President and Chief Executive Officer of the Imani -Ghana, Centre for Policy and Education, Mr Franklin Cudjoe has appealed to President Akuffo Addo to ignore those treasonable elements who are plotting for the removal of the current Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare.
In a post on his Facebook cited by this correspondent, Franklin Cudjoe described the IGP as one of the few excellent appointment Nana Akuffo Addo has so far made in his administration.
“Please ignore those treasonable elements who are plotting for the removal of the current Inspector General of Police over his professionalism,” Franklin Cudjoe urged President Akuffo Addo.
He added that as much as Imani -Ghana would have wished the power to appoint the IGP should be taken away from your office and vested in a police electoral college, Imani -Ghana can say without equivocation that the current Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare is one of the very few excellent appointments you have so far made in the past seven years, part of the post indicated.
And went on that Dr George Akuffo Dampare needs to continue with his post with exceptional efforts and leadership to help build the Ghana Police Service we want and deserve as as a nation, Franklin Cudjoe observed.
