As Muslims worldwide commemorated Eid-al-Adha, Dr. Bishop Nana James Akwasi Oppong, the independent presidential candidate representing the Risen People’s Party (RPP) in the 2024 general elections, offered his warmest greetings and sought Allah’s blessings upon the Muslim community.
Dr. Oppong,expressing gratitude for the contributions of Muslims to the nation’s progress, acknowledged the significance of Eid-al-Adha celebrations and emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating acts of good.
He lauded the Muslim community’s positive impact on the socio-economic development of Ghana, emphasizing his belief in the power of faith and unity.
“As the Eid-al-Adha celebration has just concluded, let us all join hands in building a more effective economy,” Dr. Oppong urged, calling for collaborative efforts to strengthen the nation.
He also used the occasion to promote the RPP’s policies, notably advocating for the replacement of the Ghanaian Cedi with a major international currency like the US Dollar, British Pound, or Euro..
Furthermore, he reiterated his party’s vision for a unified African currency, believing it would contribute to a stronger and more economically resilient continent.
Looking ahead, Dr. Oppong expressed optimism for the 2028 elections, confident that the Risen People’s Party, as a “viable, strong, responsible party,” will be in a position to address the country’s economic challenges.
