Independent presidential candidate urges Ghanaians to oust Npp/Ndc in 2028 general elections.

Dr. Nana Bishop James Akwasi Oppong, the independent presidential candidate who represented the Risen People’s Party (RPP) in the 2024 elections, has launched a bold call to action, urging Ghanaians to vote out the established political powerhouses, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the 2028 general election.

In an interview with the correspondent Dr. Oppong, leader of the RPP, argues that these two dominant parties have consistently failed to prioritize the well-being of the nation.

He accuses them of using deceptive promises and “sugar-coated words” to win elections, only to abandon the electorate once in power.

“These leaders forget to fulfill their promises or use the constitutional law to rule,” Dr. Oppong stated. “Instead, they apply their party manifestos, thereby turning into sycophants who favor their party members while other Ghanaians continue to suffer.”

The independent candidate contends that this style of governance breeds anger, corruption, division, and ultimately, an economic decline.

He believes that the RPP, with its “vibrant political party and total vision for the country,” offers a viable alternative and is advising Ghanaians to embrace its policies.

Dr. Oppong emphasized that true national development is impossible under the leadership of “wicked and greedy” individuals. He asserted that the RPP is prepared to implement policies that will break down the “economic bottlenecks” hindering the country’s progress and ultimately liberate Ghanaians.

The RPP is currently engaged in a nationwide tour, focusing on party reorganization and strategizing for the 2028 elections. Dr. Oppong and his party are determined to secure victory and implement their vision for a better Ghana, free from the perceived failings of the NDC and NPP.

This call to action marks a significant challenge to the established political order and could influence the political landscape leading up to the 2028 general elections.

It remains to be seen whether Dr. Oppong’s message will resonate with the Ghanaian entelectorate and whether the RPP can effectively challenge the dominance of the NDC and NPP.TV
