A Kumasi-based renowned businessman Alhaji Musa Abubakari has described the “24 Hour Economic Policy” in which the former president John Dramani Mahama intends to impose on the country when power is transferred to him in the December 7 general elections as laudable and a gateway that could salvage the economy from its collapse.
Speaking to a section of the media here in Kumasi, the businessman who is the Managing Director of Basfam Company Ltd observed that the policy was already in existence but it has since not been implemented.
Alhaji Abubakari indicated that Ghanaians need to embrace the policy and considered it as a wake up call initiative to build a better Ghana.
He said anyone who would kick against the policy should be regarded as an enemy of progress to the country or perhaps don’t understand how country’s development starts from.
Alhaji Abubakari who also doubles as the chairman of the Muslim Executives Foundation (MEF)in Kumasi related that the advanced countries can attest to the effectiveness of the “24 Hour Economic Policy” and how it works to improve economies.
He said the former president though failed to implement the policy.
He stressed that Ghanaians should not focus on the issue on why Mahama failed to implement the policy but now to merit criticism against the former president.
He has been in the opposition for long and have taken stock of his past administration and has now come to the realization that this new policy is the best alternative to free the country from its economic challenges.
He said the policy revolves itself to create job avenues, income generation to government chest, investment drive, productivity increase through industrialization system to help stabilize the country among others.and as such every one needs to support should in case Mahama comes to power and implement the policy.
Chairman Alhaji Abubakari therefore urged Ghanaians not to see the policy as a monstrous one but rather consider it as a çocept which can bring peace for the benefit of all.
