Jealous Wife Arrested In Her Bid To Flee After Damaging Husband With Hot Water.
When an alleged jealous wife of Akvim Ankaase Gyadam in the Atiwa East District of the Eastern region, Madam Ama Gyimimah harboured an evil agenda to damage her husband Nana Baafi and run away, she never thought that her wicked agenda would landed her into trouble.
Currently Ama Gyimimah is firmly in the grip of the law enforcers, charged with the offence of an attempt to kill.
Following her arrest and confirmation of the offence, the Anyinam Police in the Eastern region has caused her to be remanded for two weeks to be followed by court action.
Briefing the correspondent about Gyimimah’s arrest on Wednesday January 24 2024, source close to the town disclosed that Ama Gyimimah is married to Nana Baafi for the past 12 years and both live together at Akyrim Ankaase Gyadam as couples.
According to sources Ama Gyimimah is alleged to have suspected the husband for having sexual affairs with other women.
With such suspicion Gyimimah is said to have planned to teach the husband Nana Baafi some bitter lessons one day.
The correspondent gathered that Nana Baafi been Ama Gyimimah’s husband had earlier denied the alleged womanizing allegations levelled against him by the wife who was said to have treated the husband with contempt.
Therefore as allegedly planned to advance her hidden agenda into reality, Ama Gyimimah on the fateful Wednesday January 24, 2024 she packed some clothes among others into her travel bag with the intention to damage the husband and run away.
It was alleged that unknown to the husband about what the wife Gyimimah had in stock for him on the fateful day, Gyimimah was alleged, boiled a hot water and poured on the husband whilst he was showering in the morning.
Sources said Nana Baafi’s screaming for help attracted neighbors who came to the scene and rushed him to the nearby hospital for medical attention.
On how Ama Gyimimah was linked to the deal and her arrest, it was gathered that as neighbors were rushing in to rescue her husband she got hint of her arrest out of suspicion.
And to ensure free herself from any suspicion and her possible arrest, she allegedly quickly rushed down to the Anyinam Police station to lodge complaint against the husband on assault charge.
But it was at the police station where Nana Baafi’s friends who also rushed to the police station to make a case against Ama Gyimimah spotted her and she was consequently arrested and handed over to the police.
It was at the police station where Gyimimah who GHC 10,000.00 was allegedly found on her confessed the offence and as a result charged based on her own assertion.
Meanwhile in a brief chat with the husband Nana Baafi, he alleged that she has wedded Ama Gyimimah as a wife for more than 10 years and has not known peace with the presence of the wife.
He said Ama Gyimimah usually travels outside from her matrimonial home and spends more than two weeks without his consent, a situation he said, he has reported to Ama Gyimimah’s parents at Nkawkaw Hwehwe in the Eastern region for several times.
Nana Baafi stressed that for the fact that he takes good care of the wife, Ama Gyimimah hardly shows respect to him and several divorce attempts have been failed as a result of the interventions from the elderly citizens.
I have no children with her though I have two siblings from my previous marriage, likewise Ama who also have two children in her previous marriage, Nana Baafi indicated.
