Jesus Christ And The Church Loved And Showed Concerned About The Health Interest Of The Community Members – Pastor Dankwa.
The English Service Department of the Bubiashie branch of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Accra in a in partnership with the Assembly member for Bubuii Electoral Area in the Okaikoi South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. David Abalo have organised a free medical screening exercise for residents of Bubiashie on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
The exercise which benefited close to 100 residents took place at the Numo School Compound.
The exercise covered general body screening, tests for Hepatitis B, Malaria, Typhoid, HB and sugar level, among others.
The screening was preceded by a health talk on Hypertension and Diabetes by separate medical officers.
Giving a brief speech before the exercise, Pastor Raphael Yaw Dankwa said the exercise forms part of the church’s crusade to spread the gospel of Christ.
He said besides the preaching of the word of God, the church also has the health interests of its members and the general public at heart, hence the exercise.
He said people needed to be in the right frame of mind to worship God, adding that this could be achieved when people have good health.
We are also donating some items such as sanitary pads, diapers, toiletries, clothes and assorted food items to them,” he said.
Pastor Raphael Yaw Dankwa, therefore, implored the public to take their health issues seriously.
The Assembly member for the Bubuashie electoral area, Hon. David Abalo who filled with gladness for the services rendered by the SDA church to the Bubiashie community, expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the SDA church, as well as the health personnel for the kind gesture extended to the community members.
