The Municipal Chief Executive for Kumasi Kwadaso Assembly, Hon Agyenim Boateng has set the records straight on the confusions surrounding the inner road construction and encroachment at the Kumasi Tanoso North Electoral Area.
Allegations have it that section of traders have been blocking and resisting a contractor who is expected to complete the inner road construction works within the electoral area.
On a fact finding mission at the Tanoso North Electoral Area, the allegations of encroachments was confirmed.
However it was observed that a Task Force Team from the Kumasi Kwadaso Municipal Assembly have been dispatched to the area to serve a quit order notice on the encroachers.
However as to when the encroachers would pack off to enable the Contractors, a Chinese Construction firm, China Geo Construction Company to start work is the issue that prompted the media house to make enquiries from the Mce, Hon Agyenim Boateng.
Hon Agyenim Boateng told the correspondent that there is no fishy deals about the road works at the Tanoso North Electoral Area.
He said he is aware of the project but the blame must be directed on China Geo Construction Company who have been delaying the issue..
My outfit is very ready to quit those encroachers even in seconds when the Contractors signalled to me that they are ready to start the work, this is all what I can say about the Kumasi Tanoso North Electoral Area road project, Hon Agyenim Boateng assured.
At the China Geo Construction Company office at Sofoline, sources hinted that some of company’s machines included heavy duty ones are under servicing.
We are ready to move to Kumasi Tanoso North Electoral Area at any moment from now when our machines are fixed, source told the reporter.
Meanwhile the Assemblyman for Kumasi Tanoso North Electoral Area, Hon Edusei Poku has been put under pressure by a section of the residents over his inability to ensure the removal of the road encroachers to enable the Contractors to start work.
Some alleged that there are deals somewhere while others pushed the blame on the encroachers who believes that if they take up the steps of a tortoise they would loose their businesses.
However the assurances from the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly and China Geo Construction Company exonerate the Assemblyman Hon Edusei Poku from any blame.
